Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I don’t need an excuse to cook a homemade meal and eat my heart out, but I love that Thanksgiving encourages others to join you. I appreciate the focus on being grateful for things in life that can be easily overlooked, especially ahead of the holiday shopping season. It’s a gentle reminder that some mindfulness and a good meal can nourish your mind and soul.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to list ten things I’m thankful for:
- I’m thankful that I live in a city I love and can fill my weekends with activities I enjoy.
- I’m thankful for a loving, supportive family– from my parents and grandparents to Chase and Ruby.
- I’m thankful for coffee, and for Chase making me a cup every morning to help wake me up.
- I’m thankful for being successful in my career, but also still having time to indulge in my hobbies.
- I’m thankful to have a sense of adventure and curiosity to do new things.
- I’m thankful that New York has some of the best food in the world, and I cherish every restaurant I get to visit.
- I’m thankful for books, and when I was a child having rough time in school, my dad would take me every Friday to get a new one.
- I’m thankful for being born (and now live!) in a diverse country– in terms of people, culture, food, and landscapes.
- I’m thankful for the memories I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learned that have turned me into the person I am today.
- I’m thankful for people like you who read my blog! 🙂
I hope you get a chance to reflect and enjoy your holiday. Let me know what you’re thankful for, too!
